Committee adopts committee substitute and reports CSSB 1644 favorably
After adoption of a committee substitute, Senator Donna Campbell moved that SB 1644 do not pass and that CSSB 1644 be reported back with a recommendation that it do pass; the motion carried 11–0 and the bill was recommended for the Local & Uncontested Calendar.

Senator Schwertner moved the adoption of the committee substitute for SB 1644; without objection the substitute was adopted. Senator Donna Campbell then moved that SB 1644 do not pass but that CSSB 1644 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a recorded vote of 11 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.
