Council approves replacement meter‑reading device compatible with Windows 11

Administrator Teresa Hill told council that the city's current meter‑reading device is supported only through Windows 10 and that vendor support has ended, requiring new equipment compatible with Windows 11. "The current meter reading device is only supported up to Windows 10 and the support system has come to an end and a new one will be needed," Hill said. Council approved purchase of the new meter‑reading device and later approved an amendment specifying estimated costs of $4,185 for the radio and $675 for the setup fee.
