The Lynden City Council placed Ordinance 25-1708 on the public hearing schedule to amend Lynden Municipal Code (LMC) Chapters 17 and 19 to implement prescriptive design standards in response to state legislation (HB 1293). City staff explained that the state law requires cities to remove subjective design-review standards that could delay approvals and that adopting prescriptive standards is intended to speed reviews and provide greater certainty for designers.
