The district outlined a three-year training commitment around a Safe & Supportive Schools model based on six foundational areas—discipline policy, climate and culture, safety, student-staff interactions, student motivation, and academic engagement—to support Board Goal 2 on school climate.

Executive Director of School Leadership Linda Montoya presented the Safe & Supportive Schools update and described "Six Foundations in Safe & Civil Schools" as the district's framework for creating a positive school environment. Montoya said the six foundations will guide training on discipline policy, school climate and culture, safety, student-staff interactions, student motivation, and academic engagement.
