Votes and actions: Planning Commission forwards hotel-conversion amendment and comprehensive plan with comments
At its Aug. 13 meeting the Planning Commission forwarded two primary items to the Board of Supervisors: (1) a recommendation to adopt zoning text amendment 20‑26‑17 permitting hotel conversions with a Board hearing Aug. 17 at 5 p.m.; and (2) a transmittal of the 2026 comprehensive plan to the Board with four specific clarifications requested by the commission.

Two formal actions were recorded and forwarded to the Board of Supervisors. First, the commission recommended the Board adopt Land Development Plan 20‑26‑17 (the Lancaster County Housing & Redevelopment Authority text amendment) permitting adaptive reuse of hotels as conditional‑use multifamily dwellings; the commission approved the recommendation by voice vote and scheduled the Board public hearing for Aug. 17 at 5:00 p.m.
