Board holds closed session for superintendent summative evaluation and possible contract amendment

President Kristin K. Tassin called the Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees to order at 6:01 p.m. Jan. 15 and, after establishing a quorum, the board convened in closed session at 6:02 p.m. under the Texas Open Meetings Act (Texas Government Code, Chapter 551).

The clerk read the closed-session items under Section 551.074 (Personnel Matters), including an agenda item to "Conduct Superintendent's Summative Evaluation" and an item to "Deliberate an Amendment to the Superintendent's Contract." The clerk also recorded that the meeting would reconvene in open session; the board returned to open session at 9:18 p.m. "The Board reconvened in open session at 9:18 p.m.," the clerk stated. The minutes record no formal action following the closed session.
