Board issues proclamations honoring Fire & Rescue 60th anniversary and benefit program staff
The board proclaimed 2026 the 60th anniversary of the Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue and recognized Benefit Program Specialist Appreciation Month, with Chief Labelle and Social Services Director Phyllis Jennings Holt offering remarks of thanks and metrics from their programs.

At the Feb. 17 meeting the board issued multiple ceremonial proclamations. Chair Jefferson read a proclamation recognizing 2026 as the 60th anniversary of the Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue; Chief Labelle accepted and thanked past chiefs and staff, calling the department "the best combination fire department in America" in his remarks.
