The Alamo City Commission on July 7 approved a conditional use permit authorizing on‑site sale of alcoholic beverages at an event center located at 741 Main Street (Lots 5–11, Block 44). Staff described the 8,050‑square‑foot venue, noted substantial insulation and a plan for on‑site security and parking, and said the Planning & Zoning Commission had unanimously recommended approval with a one‑year variance to the city’s 300‑foot separation rule for residences, churches or schools.
