Staff presented research on models used in other cities for audit and financial advisory committees. The city’s audit committee currently consists of the mayor and vice mayor and reviews the annual external audit; staff proposed formalizing that committee with a resolution and creating a separate financial oversight/advisory committee to provide forward‑looking recommendations on revenue and expense projections.
