Council amends bonfire rules, requires fire rings and $25 permit fee

Council voted to amend Ordinance 2007-01 (amended as 2026-01) to modify the village's bonfire permit rules. The amendment requires that all beach fires be contained within the newly designated fire rings, eliminates the prior $100 refundable deposit, and establishes a $25 permit fee for all fires. The motion was made by President Tim McCarthy, seconded by Mike Botelho, and passed with all in favor.
