Committee backs Sublocade purchases for jail using opioid settlement funds

The Committee of the Whole recommended that the Regular Full Board authorize $15,527.20 payment for 10 Sublocade injections and permit purchase of up to 50 additional injections at a cost up to $77,636, to be paid from Opioid Settlement Funds at no additional cost to the county.

The Lapeer County Committee of the Whole on July 9 voted to recommend that the Regular Full Board authorize opioid-settlement-funded payments for Sublocade injections at the county jail. Commissioners C. Ian Kempf and Greg Wise moved and seconded motions authorizing payment of $15,527.20 to AmerisourceBergen for 10 Sublocade injections, and authorizing the Sheriff's Department to purchase up to 50 additional Sublocade injections from Besse Medical (AmerisourceBergen) at a cost not to exceed $77,636.00.
