Staff told the council the former school‑zone signs along Alley A had already been removed and the ordinance cleans up the traffic code by removing the now‑irrelevant verbiage. "Previously, council approved a resolution to have the signs removed ... this ordinance is just requesting that we are now able to remove the language from the ordinance specific to the school zone that doesn't exist," staff said.
