The Shelby County Commission completed a multiround nomination and voting process on Oct. 27 to fill a judicial-commissioner post for a four-year term. Candidates nominated in the rounds included Ernest Brooks, Laura Fowler and a nominee referenced as Taylor; after multiple ballots the commission selected Ms. Taylor.
