Council hears Shop & Dine update as town nears rate-study finish
Town Manager Lisa reported the Shop & Dine voucher program has issued nearly 2,000 vouchers (limit $40 each) and said those vouchers represented about $20,000 in local spending; she also said a rate study is nearly complete and a second reading of rate changes is planned in December.

Lisa told the council the Shop & Dine program continues to encourage local spending. "To date, we've issued about a little under 2,000 in Shop and Dine vouchers, and everybody's limit is $40," she said, adding the vouchers represented "over about $20,000 in spending in Rangely." Council members praised the program as a way to support local businesses, though one member said controversy had diminished the program's appeal.
