The Ivanhoe council approved multiple steps to pursue FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMGP) grant funds. On a motion by Councilmember Gregory (seconded by Councilmember Williams), the council voted to submit a completed application to the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) for HMGP funding. The council then approved a resolution (moved by Councilmember Williams, seconded by Councilmember McWhorter) to submit the application, designate an authorizing official, and commit 25% matching funds from the city.
