Plain City posts comprehensive-plan update RFP; staff asks for public input

Staff reported that the comprehensive plan update RFP was complete and would be posted Friday afternoon, and that the town planned to leave it open for about four weeks to encourage strong proposals. "The comprehensive plan update RFP is complete, and it should be posted Friday afternoon," staff said, adding they expect proposals to include land-use planning and resident engagement and that a steering committee may oversee the effort.

Council discussed whether the effort should be an administrative refresh or a more engaged public process; staff emphasized public input, steering committees and involvement from business owners and residents. Members agreed the process should build off the current comp plan while updating it to reflect recent developments and anticipated changes.
