Staff told council the Maple Street crosswalk project has been engineered and that the town received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to fund pedestrian improvements. "We received a CDBG grant for, pedestrian... it starts this January, and we have 2 years to complete it," the staff member said, noting the estimate was higher than expected and describing a proposed island and flashing lights as part of the design.
