Commissioner William A. Todd reported that principal demolition work on the Madison County Courthouse rehabilitation and addition has been completed and mass excavation to remove the existing foundation is underway. During excavation, previously buried mortar was exposed and found to be compromised; the county plans an evaluation by Allied Engineering Services, Inc. to determine repairs needed to strengthen a historic wall.
