Councilmember Tiffany Smith gave a multi-part update on waterfront and bay work, telling the board that dredging operations will continue around the area “24/7 for 2 more weeks” and that breakwater repair work has begun. She said design for a west pier stone overlay is advancing, with environmental review and bidding expected in 2026 and construction anticipated in 2027. PBIA-related coordination was also noted, including ongoing contact about REDI Commission projects and a meeting scheduled Aug. 27 to address bay water-quality items.
