Council reviewed October solid waste and recycling activity: 334.46 tons of solid waste at a cost of $28,628.35 and 68.97 tons of single-stream recycling at a cost of $7,032.81; metal recycling generated a $497 profit.

Councilwoman Guarni presented the Solid Waste and Recycling reports for October during the Nov. 10 meeting. The solid-waste summary listed 25 loads to Wheelabrator (287.04 tons) at $86.74 per ton totaling $24,897.84; four loads to Gloucester County landfill (42.01 tons) at the same per-ton rate totaling $3,643.95; and two street-sweeping loads (5.41 tons) charged at $16.00 per ton. The minutes show a October total of 334.46 tons of solid waste with a combined cost of $28,628.35.
