Pitman met state Best Practices threshold; no reduction in 2026 state aid expected
Councilman Mazzola reported Pitman met and exceeded the New Jersey Best Practices Inventory threshold (this year's minimum score was 32), meaning the borough will not see a reduction in state aid for 2026.

At the Oct. 27 meeting, Councilman Mazzola read an update from the borough CFO on the state's Best Practices Inventory. "This year, the minimum score was 32 in order to receive the full state aid payment," Mazzola said, and he reported that the Borough of Pitman met and exceeded the required score.
