The Rogue River Planning Commission continued work on revisions to the city tree ordinance on Nov. 25, focusing on definitions and implementation approaches intended to protect heritage trees without imposing undue cost on private homeowners. Staff asked for direction on the type of tree inventory to pursue and whether to distinguish "heritage" from "old" trees; the commission agreed to consult tree experts and local precedents.
