The Waterways Management Advisory Council voted 7-0 on May 11, 2026, to approve Bert Waife’s request to relocate a mooring from Daniel Lord Road to Merkel Basin (41.052304N 72.317194W). The applicant said the move was prompted by DEC concerns at the Daniel Lord Road site; the council approved the proposed site as a suitable alternative.
