Trustees approve new Sick Leave Bank policy to replace current Sick Bank Pool
Rockdale ISD trustees revised Policy DEC(LOCAL) to establish a Sick Leave Bank intended to provide a more equitable, consistent and confidential process for employees requesting additional leave for qualifying catastrophic illness, injury or medical condition.

The board voted to approve revisions to Policy DEC(LOCAL) that establish a Sick Leave Bank to replace the existing Sick Bank Pool. The motion was made by Janice Keen and seconded by Jason Barcak; trustees voted 6-0 to adopt the change. The minutes state the change is intended to offer a more equitable, consistent, and confidential process for employees seeking additional leave for qualifying catastrophic medical events.
