Springdale council approves amendment to FY2025-26 budget

The Springdale Town Council unanimously approved Resolution 2026-08 on June 24 to open and amend revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, after Treasurer Dawn Brecke presented year-end figures and noted slightly lower revenue requiring an adjustment to the town's fund balance. "The Town Council has reviewed and approves Resolution 2026-08, a resolution to open and amend the annual budget of revenues and expenditures for the various funds of the Town of Springdale for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, and authorizes the Mayor to sign," said Pat Campbell in a motion to adopt the resolution.

Brecke told the council the amendment was intended to finalize year-end accounting; she confirmed that accrued travel for former Town Manager Rick Wixom would roll over when Council Member Jack Burns asked for clarification. The council opened the public hearing on the budget amendment, heard no public comment, and then closed the hearing before voting. The motion to adopt Resolution 2026-08 was seconded by Randy Aton and passed unanimously (Burns: Aye; Aton: Aye; Campbell: Aye; Bruno: Absent; Topham: Absent).

The action authorizes the mayor to sign the amendment and adjusts the town's fund balance to reflect lower-than-expected revenue for FY2025-26. The minutes record that the meeting convened at 5:01 PM and adjourned at 5:10 PM on June 24, 2026.
