At the Dec. 19 meeting, Brecknock Township resident Katerina Djurkinjak asked supervisors to consider enforcing and supporting "Code Red & Code Blue," standards intended to protect pets in extreme weather. Djurkinjak said she was concerned about a dog in the township kept outdoors on a short leash and exposed to the elements; she said the Animal Rescue League has a program but advised her to seek township support.
