On March 24, the Melissa City Council authorized the City Manager to execute a Letter of Intent with S2LD for a residential development called The Preserve. Staff said the project, which received zoning approval in February 2026, includes proposed amenities such as trails and an amenity center and that S2LD seeks a Public Improvement District (PID) and assignment of impact fee credits to offset infrastructure costs associated with up‑zoning.
