Lockhart ISD board votes to end two probationary teachers’ contracts
The board voted 7–0 to terminate the probationary contracts of Joyce Cray and Jacqueline Rivera at the end of the contract term and directed the superintendent to provide notice in accordance with state law. A separate proposal to nonrenew two other contracts received no action.

The Lockhart ISD Board of Trustees voted to terminate two probationary contracts at the end of their contract terms. Trustee Dr. Barbara Sanchez moved to terminate the probationary contract of Joyce Cray; Trustee Sanchez’s motion was seconded and the board recorded the motion as carried 7–0. Trustee Rene Rayos then moved to terminate the probationary contract of Jacqueline Rivera; Trustee Sanchez seconded and the motion carried 7–0. "The motion carried 7-0."
