Lockhart ISD board approves SB 9‑required elementary prevention curriculum
The board approved curriculum for elementary instruction on prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence and sex trafficking as recommended by the SHAC, passing the motion 7–0. The item fulfilled SB 9 requirements from the 87th Legislature.

Trustee Rene Rayos moved that the board approve curriculum for instruction related to prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence and sex trafficking at the elementary level as recommended by the SHAC, in compliance with SB 9 of the 87th Texas Legislature; Trustee Tom Guyton seconded the motion and it carried 7–0. "The motion carried 7-0."
