The committee moved and seconded to convene a closed session to discuss and receive an update on EMS contract negotiations. The clerk read the statutory authority on the record: "The committee may convene in closed session pursuant to Wisconsin state statutes, 19.85 sub 1 sub E to deliberate or negotiate the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds... whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session."
