Genesis, speaking for the Coos Bay–North Bend–Charleston Visitor & Convention Bureau, presented the bureau's semiannual report and marketing metrics to the council, saying the area saw $253.8 million in visitor spending in 2025, a 5.6% increase over 2024. "We are the destination marketing organization for Coos Bay North Bend in Charleston," Genesis said, noting that $154.6 million of the county total occurred in Coos Bay, North Bend and Charleston — about 44% of county spending — and that tourism supports roughly 3,700 jobs in the county.
