Demolition approved at 244 Sesuwitnik Road; applicant sought early design input

Eric Tully (speaker 7) requested a demolition permit for the century-old house at 244 Sesuwitnik Road and explained the applicant's preference to come to the commission early in the design process. "If you grant us your blessing for the demo, we will likely have to go to HDC... to see whether or not they're going to implement the one year demolition delay by law," Tully said as he described the timing implications. Commissioners discussed whether remaining historical fabric justified delay and concluded they did not see strong historical significance to bar demolition.
