Captain Maher requested approval to purchase a fixed self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) cascade system approved in the FY27 capital purchases. He said the county currently has two cascade systems located in the north end of the county that are more than 15 years old, requiring crews to travel or use city machines for training and major events.
