Heyburn adopts zoning code clarifications, hears first reading of building-code changes
The council adopted Ordinance No. 2026-721 updating zoning land uses and clarifying subdivision allowances, and heard a first reading of Ordinance No. 2026-722 addressing building code references and administrative corrections.

City Attorney Paul Ross presented proposed amendments to the city code that clarify zoning land uses and when subdivisions are permitted in particular zoning districts. After a public hearing with no public comment, the council suspended the three-reading rule, read Ordinance No. 2026-721 by title, and adopted the ordinance on a motion by Joanne Justesen seconded by Brian Dodds; the vote was unanimous.
