Board examines tougher air-leakage testing, higher sampling thresholds

Board members reviewed changes to air-leakage compliance in the 2024 draft, which add whole-building and unit-enclosure test methods and clarify unit-sampling protocols for commercial projects. "They have a whole building test method and the reporting, and then they have the dwelling and sleeping unit enclosure method and reporting," one presenter said while walking through the commercial testing sections.
