Council adopts revised floodplain ordinance to remain in NFIP

City staff told the council the Federal Emergency Management Agency issued revised floodplain map panels and that the city must adopt an updated floodplain ordinance by Sept. 7 to remain in the National Flood Insurance Program. Staff said IDNR reviewed and approved the drafted ordinance and that the primary change was a reduction in mapped floodplain area.
