After staff outlined procurement options, trustees voted to use the construction-manager-at-risk (CMAR) delivery method for upcoming projects so the district can influence subcontractor selection; motion carried by majority vote.

Trustees voted to select the construction-manager-at-risk (CMAR) procurement method for the district’s 2024 construction portfolio, including the new administrative/professional learning building and multiple school renovations. Facilities staff said CMAR has worked well on prior projects and allows the district input on subcontractor selection, which they said improves value and reduces the risk of poor subcontractor performance.
