Committee recommends Greenfield Rehabilitation for therapy services at Badger Prairie

The Health and Human Needs Committee voted to recommend approval of Resolution 78, awarding therapy services at Badger Prairie Health Care Center to Greenfield Rehabilitation Agency following an RFP process.

Director Schluter said the award covers occupational, physical and speech therapy for the county‑run skilled nursing facility. He told the committee the agreement is a one‑year award with options that could extend up to five years and the total contract amount will not exceed $1,200,000 over that term.

Supervisors asked whether Greenfield was the existing provider or a new contractor and requested background information on prior contracts and continuity of care; staff said they would provide written follow‑up for the finance committee. The committee moved the resolution by unanimous consent.

The contract will be routed through the county’s normal finance process. Committee members requested that staff supply information before the finance committee about whether Greenfield replaces an incumbent or continues existing services to avoid gaps for residents at Badger Prairie.
