Board Chair Brian Ernst reported during the May 19, 2026 meeting that the county's discussions with Bug Tussel on a proposed radio-tower project remain unresolved. Ernst said "Bug Tussel remains noncommittal and the 60-days deadline has passed for a project," and that the county's carbon credits remain on the market unsold. The Executive Committee asked County Administrator Nick Trimner to investigate the consequences and options if the county cancels the bond agreement tied to the project; minutes indicate the county is a co-signer on a $15 million bond should Bug Tussel default.
