The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors voted to participate in a 2080 intergovernmental agreement with the City of New Hampton to fund phase 2 of a water-main loop project, after an extended discussion about costs, benefits and jurisdictional splits. The motion passed 3–1 with one member recording a conflict and abstaining earlier in the discussion; supervisors said the county's share will be finalized through a pending public hearing and budget amendment.
