The Willits City Council narrowly approved a Catastrophic Leave Bank Policy as part of the May 13 consent calendar after Councilmember Bruce Burton pulled the item for discussion and expressed concerns. The motion to approve the policy passed 3–2: Councilmembers Gerardo Gonzalez, Mayor Tom Allman and Vice Mayor Matthew Alaniz voted yes; Councilmembers Larry Stranske and Bruce Burton voted no.
