The Crest City Council voted to appoint Doy as the city’s interim fire chief during a special meeting Dec. 23, 2025. The mayor introduced a resolution (identified in the record) to approve the appointment, members moved and seconded the resolution, and the mayor declared, “the ayes have it.”
