The Nevada City Council approved a contract on April 1 with Building Code Consulting Services, LLC to provide building code consulting and inspections. Council Member Mike Laye moved to accept the contract "as written" with conditions to provide 24-hour notice for businesses being inspected and require a minimum of six inspections; Mayor Pro Tem Kerrie Longoria seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
