The Nevada City Council voted on April 1 to permit Collin County's proposed Emergency Services District (ESD) to include the city's extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). Council Member Mike Laye moved for consent and Mayor Pro Tem Kerrie Longoria seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
