The board reviewed an architect feasibility/proposal for the courthouse the presenter said would cost no more than $30,000 to complete. County counsel raised two concerns: the contract originally listed Kansas City as a litigation venue and allowed unspecified overtime; staff requested those be changed so litigation would be handled in Bismarck or Fargo and any overtime would require client approval. The consultant accepted those edits, and staff presented a signature page for the commission to authorize the work promptly.
