Kevin Hoyt, a presenter from UT Ag Research, told the Oak Ridge City Council work session that the Arboretum is a research and education center and emphasized its long history and facilities. "We are part of the Institute of Agriculture, and the arboretum is the largest project on the center," Hoyt said, describing the site's 250-acre Arboretum and the broader Oak Ridge forest holdings.
