District highlights Title programs, STEM projects and new "Kindness Club" for students

An elementary principal and district staff reviewed federal-program activity and classroom projects funded by Title I, II and IV, including a stop-motion animation project and student Google slides about Thomas Edison. The principal said performance-goal reporting for the 2023-24 school year was submitted on Jan. 6 and that Title IV funds continue to support STEM, gifted enrichment and the district's transition/ages program.
Staff also described the 18-to-21 transition program that takes students to community job sites (United Way, a local brick/shop store, and the senior center) and highlighted a new after-school "Kindness Club" led by teacher Kubik that made 100 sandwiches for a local food pantry. "Our title 4 funds continue to support our STEM, gifted enrichment, and our ages program," the principal said. The board and administration praised program staff and donors, including a $350 donation from the Class of 1974 to the district pantry.
