Board approves Huntington ISD—s district improvement performance objectives

The board approved the district improvement plan—s performance objectives after a presentation from the superintendent outlining six overarching goals ranging from curriculum and assessment to safety and family engagement. The superintendent emphasized that tonight—s action was to approve the performance objectives, while specific strategies will continue to evolve. "The performance objective: students who participate in the accountability system will increase their performance level by 5% across all grade levels, subject areas, performance levels, and subgroups," the superintendent said when describing the first objective.
