The Colfax County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt resolution 2026-62 declaring drought disaster conditions in the county, a measure commissioners said could provide relief to constituents and align county policy with USDA and state declarations. A commissioner who requested the agenda item said the declaration "follows declarations made by USDA and the state as well and can provide some relief for our constituents." The motion to adopt the resolution passed on a roll-call vote.
