Board approves continuing generator maintenance contract amid cost increases

Staff presented the annual generator maintenance contract that covers twice-yearly service and said the price has risen as additional generators were added. The staff member indicated the contract used to be lower and that the town now has more generators on the schedule. "It keeps climbing every year," the staff member said when summarizing cost trends.

Chair moved to continue services with the current vendor and the motion was seconded and approved. Board members discussed whether costs should be split with East Central or other users who benefit from the maintenance, and asked staff to open that conversation with the East Central chief.
